Marsicano Wins Baseless Petition Challenge
HAZLE TWP (3/17/20): Three weeks ago, Republican candidate for the 8th Congressional District Mike Marsicano had his nomination petitions challenged by another candidates' campaign via a proxy group of individuals. Today, the objectors withdrew their baseless objection and filed for discontinuance. Mr. Marsicano's attorney, Bill Vinsko, Esq. released the following statement:
“We have always been completely confident that over 1000 people throughout the 8th Congressional District properly signed Mike Marsicano’s petitions to place him on the ballot for Congress. After exchanging information and meeting with the Election Bureau, we were able to successfully prove to the Objectors that their case had no merit. They did the right thing by immediately withdrawing their baseless objections.”
Mike has been confident in his petitions since day one. Having gathered over 90% of the required signatures himself, it is evident that the goal of this objection was to interfere with the democratic process and perpetrate false, baseless claims.
It is evident that the establishment and DC swamp are afraid of the grassroots movement Mr. Marsicano has been building. With over 150 committed volunteers, the campaign continues to move forward to the April 28th primary, and standing with President Trump in Congress.
