What We've Already Learned From COVID-19
Updated: May 15, 2020
Over the past several weeks, our country has faced significant changes. Americans are adjusting their way of life due to COVID-19 (Coronavirus). There are now 133 confirmed cases of Coronavirus in Pennsylvania alone, and this number is expected to grow in the coming days.
I remain confident in President Trump's response to this pandemic, and I am confident that our nation will be made stronger because of these events. President Trump has surrounded himself with some of the most talented doctors and epidemiologists in the world, including Dr. Anthony Fauci, who has been a steady hand throughout this pandemic. The entire Coronavirus Response Team deserves our utmost respect.
The COVID-19 pandemic has brought attention to an enormous issue that is present in the United States: the fact that too many of our medications, including antiviral medications, are manufactured overseas. Our manufacturing capabilities must be re-examined at the start of the next Congress to ensure that there is never a shortage of medication available for our citizens.
I extend my prayers of health to my fellow candidates on both sides of the aisle. This is not the time for politics - but a moment in our nation's history where we must come together to take bold action and ensure the safety of our fellow Americans.
To all, stay safe, and I look forward to speaking with voters face-to-face again soon.
